My Role & Responsibilities
As Product & UI Designer, I was responsible for:
Defining the product structure, content hierarchy, and overall design strategy.
Designing all app screens and interaction patterns in Figma, including dark and light modes.
Creating the brand identity, and motion system.
Designing the Bible Tracker, Devotionals, and AI Chat experiences.
Collaborating with developers to align UI specifications and component behavior.
Analyzing Mixpanel data to understand user behavior, identify engagement patterns, and guide product improvements.
Generating visual assets and concept art using Gemini to unify the product’s visual tone.

Foundation — Concept & Structure
The project began with a clear mission: transform spirituality into a daily digital practice. I started by mapping user motivations and behaviors around devotional apps, identifying three essential needs: clarity, motivation, and continuity.
The visual system was built to express peace and lightness. Soft gradients and subtle depth were chosen to evoke a sense of calm focus, while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic. Typography and spacing followed the principle of functional serenity — prioritizing readability and presence without visual noise.
Using Figma, I developed the initial layouts and user flows for onboarding, progress tracking, Bible reading, devotionals, and chat. Each flow was designed to feel guided but not intrusive — like a gentle rhythm that motivates consistency without pressure.

Experience & Execution — Design in Motion
Once the design foundation was established, the focus shifted to creating a system that would support engagement and retention. The app uses gamification elements such as streaks, achievements, and visual progress to celebrate commitment without turning devotion into competition.
The Bible tracker allows users to visualize their reading progress as a growing puzzle — a simple but powerful metaphor for spiritual completion. Devotionals and reflection sections were designed for calm reading, with soft color gradients that subtly adapt to the content tone.
The AI-powered Bible Chat was crafted to make interaction natural and human-like, providing guidance and daily encouragement. This feature was one of the most delicate to design — balancing spiritual integrity with conversational usability.
All visual assets were produced using Midjourney, giving each reading plan and devotional illustration a timeless, painterly feel that connects classical art with modern design. The interface was tested and refined to maintain clarity across light and dark modes.

Outcome — Growth & Retention
DivineTalk launched on the App Store with strong user adoption and engagement metrics. Within the first months, the app reached over 35,000 new users and maintained more than 50,000 active users across 28 days, powered by RevenueCat’s analytics.
The design system ensured visual consistency across all modules — from reading and reflection to gamification and chat — allowing future feature expansions without losing the brand’s essence.
More than a functional product, DivineTalk became a daily space for mindfulness, reflection, and faith, blending emotional design, user psychology, and spiritual storytelling into one cohesive experience.
